Reasons to Hope: Images of Love in a Harsh Landscape

Gold Brush Stroke

God gives us many reasons to hope as His love is evidenced in the images found in our daily lives.

Many of these photos are from a fabulous trip my sister and I took this winter to visit Mom and Dad in Arizona.

May you find hope in the evidence of His love.

Evidence of God’s Love

AZ cactus beauty maskedin thorns

This little beauty reminded me that there is beauty masked in the thorns of life.

AZ fourofus LondonBridge

Warm temps. Beautiful sunshine. A week away with my sister visiting Mom and Dad. There couldn’t have been a better reminder of how much God cares.

AZ roadrunner1

My sister, Sherri, and I made it our mission to get a good look at one of these guys (Greater Roadrunner). On the fifth day of our trip we saw this handsome fellow.

I still haven’t figured out what kind of tree this is, but aren’t its flowers gorgeous?

AZ DadSherri walking

I breathed deep of God’s love on our walks.

Sun on palms AZ

One would think we were in the tropics. Lovely.

AZ Gambels quail

Gambel’s Quail: Another fun sighting. Look at his little head and strutting pose—doesn’t God have a sense of humor?

AZ burrohead Oatman

An Oatman burro on Historic Route 66. I think he likes me.

AZ GordyandJulie

An afternoon trip to Lake Havasu to visit my uncle Gordy topped off this vacation. Thank you, Lord, for family.

AZ Tropical sunset1This day and in all the days to come, may you see the evidence of just how much you are loved by the Creator of all.

Watch for His daily grace-notes.

“But I am like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God; I trust in God’s faithful love forever and ever.” (Psalm 52:8)

Reflections: What evidence of God’s love are you noticing today? Feel free to present God’s love-notes as you see them in words or images in the comments.

Thank You for sharing Julie and you are right. God’s love, beauty, majesty can be found if we are willing to see it.

Great photos. I love the roadrunner. I’ve never seen one up close!

They are neat birds, Jeri. I expected to see Wile E Coyote and hear “beep, beep,” too! 🙂

HIS beauty is there through the storms and darkness. We need only to look up. We are always able, with HIM, to live above the problems!

So true, Dawn. But not always so easy to see. Noticing Him in the storms is a habit to be developed, I think.

Julie Sunne

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
