What Are You Waiting For?
Toppling laundry. Overflowing sink. Neglected finances. Snarky responses.
I don’t always like where I’m at, what I do, or how the day lays out. It’s not always pleasant.
There are highs and lows. I make good choices and poor ones.
My days are seldom neat and tidy—actually, I’m not sure they’re ever neat and tidy.
But they are real.
Each day brings a slightly different reality. Yet here is where I am today, right now, in this moment.
And here is where God will use me.
He doesn’t wait until I get over there or achieve this or think that. He wants me right where I am. He meets me here—in the mountains of laundry, in the empty pockets, in the poor attitudes and dirty dishes. By His grace I am good enough.
The Lord wants all of me and all of you … right where we are this moment and the next and the next.
We only have the here, we only have the now. And that is enough because He is enough.
Offer Him all of you right where you are, overflowing sink and all.
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’
And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!'” (Isaiah 6:8).
Questions to discuss: Have you ever opened your arms wide and invited God to use you right here, right now, just as you are? What were the results? If not, what is stopping you?
Linking with Lisa-Jo where a group writes uninhibited for 5 minutes (or a few more) on a given topic. It is a wonderful exercise in letting the words flow. Click the button to check out more posts or consider linking up yourself. Today’s topic is “Here.”

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.

I have opened my arms. He took me and my family to another country (for a few years). Beautiful, beautiful memories. Now, I am back here in the US. Trying to find where He wants me to be, but I am keeping my arms open–and my heart open.
The Lord takes us on amazing adventures when we surrender, Cheryl, as you’ve experienced. I love that your arms and heart are open to the One who makes us worthy. I’m sure He will use you wherever you are.
Hi Julie! Nice to meet you from the Five Minute Friday. I loved your post. I love that God takes are arms wide open as we present ourselves to Him and uses us for His glory, just as we are. Have a blessed weekend.
So grateful you slipped over, Barbie. I love that we don’t have to be pre-qualified in our own power to be His instruments. Blessings to you as well.
This is so powerful and true. If more people learned this, so many more unsaved people would be drawn in to Gods perfect place! I love it!
Wouldn’t that be glorious!
…..all of me and all of you……So true…simple yielding to Him…..This is great!
Thanks Fiona.
