Ascribe to the Lord … the Ultimate Offering #31DaysofPraise
“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering and come before him.
Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.”
1 Chronicles 16:29
It’s what’s asked of us. An offering. Bending low to glorify Him on high. Sometimes it seems so little, but it’s enough.
Sometimes we believe we have nothing to give, but offering God our full worship is everything.
Sometimes we believe we have nothing to give, but offering God our full worship is everything. #31DaysofPraise Share on X
Are You Offering Your Last Pennies or Your Surplus?
In the splendor of His holiness, she gave her last penny (mites really; Mark 12:43-44). So little, but such a great sacrifice. Her offering seemed like pittance to all but the Lord.
It truly was the greatest offering because it came from a heart of tremendous love and devotion, from a woman who gave fully because He gave fully first.
For what else does God want but a surrendered soul, a sold-out heart, totally devoted to worshiping the Lord in word and deed? And when we embrace His grace and power, our lives become a living example of such adoration.
Through God's power and grace, our lives can become sold-out, surrendered to Him in worship. #31DaysofPraise Share on X
Praise the Lord on high!
Lord of heaven and earth, you are worthy of every bit of praise and glory! You don’t ask for a little from us; You ask for it all: the ultimate offering. All our devotion. All our passion. All our praise. All our worship. And Only You are deserving! Only You are worthy! Only You should receive our praise and glory. To You, Lord, forever and ever. Amen!
Reflections: Has there been a time in your life when you worshiped the Lord from a sense of obligation and duty? If so, what transformed that obligation into a burning desire? If not, what made the difference early in your life?

By His Grace,
Julie
Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
