God Is Mighty Enough To Care About The Details of Your Life
From little on I’ve been taught that God is mighty to save. Yet there were times I wondered if He was too mighty to care about the details of my life.
Does He really notice when I cry? Does His heart break when mine does? Does it matter to Him if I feel worthless, am at my wit’s end, have a bad day, get injured or sick, or feel alone?
Maybe you’ve asked the same questions.
Since the Word reveals the truth, I took my questions there. And Scripture unequivocally and emphatically assures you and me that God most certainly does care for the details of your life. Maybe not what kind of eyeliner you wear, but certainly the matters of your heart and soul.
God Cares
Really, why else would He orchestrate salvation by sending His Son to earth to become human? Certainly, it was to save us. But there was more to it than that.
Jesus Christ became man so we could have a relationship with the Father.
So Jesus could experience the pain and sorrow we experience.
So Jesus could cry real tears and feel cold and alone.
So Jesus could know what it is like to be ridiculed and estranged.
And while on earth Jesus shared the Father’s love in ways we could relate to. He fed thousands, calmed rough waters, and healed the sick and disabled.
He held the little children, dined with sinners, and even changed water into wine.
God’s loving attention to us is also demonstrated in His creation itself. He provides community and rest and beauty.
His first priority is the state of our eternal souls, but God’s love for us is highlighted in the way He cares for the details of our lives.

Here are just a few of His promises found in Scripture:
“The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth” (Isaiah 25:8).
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” (Matthew 5:4).
“The Lord is the One who will go before you. He will be with you; He will not leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid or discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)
“Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:7)
But God is also mighty to care. What temporal comfort that provides!
God is indeed mighty to save. What blessed assurance! But God is also mighty to care. Share on X
“You Yourself have recorded my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle.” (Psalm 56:8)
Reflections: In what details of your life has God’s love been revealed?

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.

Beautifully written, and such a powerful message! Thank you for sharing these words… God is so good, and I am always amazed when He shows me how much He cares in just the little day-to-day things. He is Mighty! Happy to have found your little corner of the web!
Thank you, Kristin. I am surprised that I am amazed anymore. With His perfect record of faithfulness, why am I amazed when I’m blessed?
Dropping by from FMF!
I love your post! Such a great reminder of His love for us! Matthew 6:26 tells us that He even sustains the birds- they don’t have to worry about getting taken care of. If we are HIS kids, then how can we think He wouldn’t take care of our needs- even the most basic of needs!!??
Be blessed!
Oh I love that when He reminds us of how much He loves all His creation, especially us as His children! Thanks for the reference.
My family and i have seen Him provide for us so much! Just last Sunday…we were all home and a friend from my church came over with bags of food she had bought! I hadnt said anything to anyone about our need for food or laundry soap or dish soap …but here it was!
I was so amazed at His power that i dropped to my knees in praise after my friend left!
Now…u tell me….does God know or what!!!!
Thank u heavenly father…u deffinately sustain us!!!
What a wonderful example of the Lord’s love and care, Christy. Thanks for sharing. And praise be to God!
Yes, I most often see God’s love in the small. In the details that only he would know about. Great post, Julie!
But I do find I have to condition myself to be looking for them, Holly, or His smaller signs of love get lost in the busyness of the day. His love is present; do we see it?
