He Is Enough

Gold Brush Stroke

Yesterday, I traveled across the country to beautiful North Carolina to attend my first-ever writer’s/speaker’s conference: She Speaks. From everything I’ve been hearing, it is a wonderful conference imparting a wealth of information, love and encouragement. sky-clouds

The conference hasn’t even started yet, and I’ve met some beautiful new friends who love the Lord and feel His calling on their lives. In fact, I met my first new friend in Chicago while waiting to catch my final flight–how fun!

There is a theme a noticed with all these ladies: they all have stories (of course, or why would they be here), and they’ve found God sufficient in those times of pain and hardship.

Today, we will have suffering, but tomorrow a new day is dawning where our tears will be wiped away. But even in the today. Even in the suffering, we are promised, and these sweet women I’m meeting are attesting to the fact, that there is hope.

No matter what we experience (including meeting publishers at a conference where we feel unsure of God’s direction), we will find Him enough.

If I take away nothing else from this conference but that reminder: it is enough for He is exceedingly enough!

“My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9 HCSB).

I know I’ve found that in those moments of life when I’ve got nothing left, I find so strongly that God is there and He’s everything I need. Such truth gets me through the easy AND the hard days! Thanks for reminding me of this truth today!

Julie Sunne

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
