Choosing the One to Cherish
There are so many things in this world to strive for. So many to value.
Clothes. Family. Money. Prestige. Respect. Health. Leisure time. The environment. Never a shortage.
Daily I struggle with which ones to grasp, which ones to release. Few are wrong. But how many do I grasp too tightly? How many have become idols in my life?
We are to value One above all others. One we cannot yet look on. One we cannot physically touch. One we cannot achieve by our own striving.
There are many things that daily grab our attention. Yet we are to value One above all others. Does God occupy the most prominent place in your life? Share on X
Who Do You Cherish?
Am I aching for the One? Am I putting that One before all others? Does the One occupy the most prominent place in my life?
Because that One gave His life to secure mine … that One saved my soul from everlasting condemnation …
… that One is Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior.
He is the One to be cherished above all!
He is there for all.
Do you know Him?
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength” (Mark 12:30).
Reflections: It is a daily choice to cherish the Lord. To put Him above everything else that beckons. How can I pray for you?
And if you do not yet know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, please send a comment to me directly and privately through my Contact page (click here). I’d love to pray for and with you.

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.

Hi dear Julie
This is a question we need to ask ourselves often! Even good things, especially the good God things, can become an idol.
Much love
Mia
Absolutely, Mia. We have to reassess daily, sometimes hour by hour. Keeps us on our toes 🙂
Amen.
