Give Thanks: His Faithful Love Endures Forever (“Relentless” book giveaway)
The day my first unborn baby went to be with Jesus changed my life in many ways. For the first time in my life I questioned the Lord’s love for me. Yet somehow through the years, I discovered that His is a forever love that shows up brightest in those darkest times.

Relentless
Still the struggle remains. The challenge of limping wounded through this broken world is a real one. The enemy continues to feed us lies about the Lord, wanting to keep our doubts about His love alive and well. That’s why, as part of this Thanksgiving series, I feel compelled to share with you a wonderful new book by author, Michele Cushatt. Michele writes in the introduction of her new release, Relentless: The Unshakeable Presence of a God Who Never Leaves, that God’s “love is relentless. Even when you can’t reach for Him. Especially then.”
Life seem unfair? Wrestling with your faith? Feel abandoned and alone? God's 'love is relentless. Even when you can't reach for Him. Especially then.' #relentlessbook by Michele Cushatt. Share on X
In Relentless, Michele writes candidly about her many struggles in life, including three cancer diagnoses, a time of suicidal thoughts, and living with chronic pain and a scarred body. She shares about wrestling with her faith and questioning the God she professed to love. And she confesses her continued need to push into God’s love and mine the truth to keep doubt at bay.
Altar Stones of Remembrance
With the Altar Stone at the end of each chapter, Michele walks us through the mining process. She encourages us to dig deep into our stories and gather “stones that bear evidence of God’s presence and deliverance, even if it didn’t look the way you thought it would.” These stones will help us mark the faithfulness of God, a remembrance for when we feel alone in our pain.
Michele doesn’t shy away from sharing the hard stuff in Relentless, the painful stories, the honest doubts, the difficulties of living out our faith in a broken world. She doesn’t hold back in proclaiming the mercy and forever love of God either.
God’s “love rescues good families and dysfunctional ones, ego addicts and drug addicts. And although we may wrestle long into the night and wake up with a limp, on the other side of the struggle is a love that will always reach down. And with one glimpse of His glorious face, we’ll find new grace and courage to overcome.” And she challenges us that with that grace will come an opportunity “to testify to the only truth solid enough to pull us both through: God has not abandoned us.”
Faithful Love
My first miscarriage was indeed an incredibly dark time. And more pain ensued in subsequent years. But God never left me during my trials. And the realization of that truth, led me to ground my faith in the God who never leaves, the One whose faithful love endures forever, the relentless One.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to the God of gods.
His faithful love endures forever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords.
His faithful love endures forever.Give thanks to the God of heaven!
His faithful love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1-3, 26
The Lord’s faithful love endures forever. That’s always a reason to give thanks, as we testify to His relentless presence.

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.

I love Michelle Cushatt. Just this post was moving. Thank you for sharing. At the least I have a book for my wish list (promised my husband I would chill on the book buying for myself until after Christmas)…but he can get it. 🙂 God bless you!
Hi Kelly. Michele’s writing is amazing! I sympathize with you on having to put a hold on the book buying. My problem is I buy books I “must” have, but then I don’t have time to read them. Thank you so much for your comment! May your Thanksgiving celebrations be filled with love and joy.
I can so relate! If I could get a little time away…I would bring a half a dozen books and just dive in! 🙂 God bless you!
