He Is Worthy of Our Praise, Every Day! #31DaysofPraise

Gold Brush Stroke

As I grew in my faith, I found myself in prayer more often.

In line at the grocery store. Driving to a school event. Waiting for my teenager to get home on a Friday night. Doing dishes. Bathing my daughter.

And as my faith grew, I found myself with an increasing desire to praise God.

No longer did it seem appropriate to only ask for His help (which was my default in those earlier years), although that is a legitimate aspect of prayer.

No longer did it seem enough to only seek forgiveness, although that is an essential part of our faith walk.

No longer did it seem sufficient to simply thank God, although that is a wonderful practice of prayer.

As I became a more mature Christian, I wanted to spend more time with Him in corporate worship and in Bible study. And the time I spent in the treasure of the Holy Bible fueled a desire to simply praise!

Spending time with God and in His Word fuels a desire to praise Him! #31DaysofPraise Share on X

Despite the trials of this life …. in the midst of the hardships, in the ugliness of this world, the Lord is worthy of our praise.

In the words of David,

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom” (Psalm 145:3).

No one can fathom His mighty works, the glorious splendor of your majesty, His abundant goodness and righteousness, His grace and compassion and goodness, His love and trustworthiness.

The Lord is trustworthy and faithful. He upholds all who fall, and lifts up all who are bowed down. His dominion endures forever. He is near to all who call on Him in truth.

My mouth will speak in praise of the LordLet every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever” (Psalm 145:21).

Julie Sunne

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
