Remembering the Baby in the Manger (Merry Christmas!)
Today we remember the Baby in a manger. We reflect on a King who gave up His throne to become a weak, vulnerable, and helpless infant. We celebrate a God who loves us this much.
God With Us
Emmanuel, “God with us,” became one of us so we’d know we matter. Those who mess up and those who fall down. Those who do well and those who stand strong.
He became one of us so we’d know what mattered: relationship, love, an eternity with Him.
Jesus Christ came to be one of us, to be with us, and to be the way for us to live with Him forever. He came for the lonely and oppressed as well as the accomplished and comfortable. He came for each of us.

The Baby in the Manger
So regardless of your circumstances, may you find peace this Christmas as you remember the Baby in the manger. May the knowledge of His willingness to exchange His heavenly throne for a crude manger, fill you with a sense of belonging. May the realization of His presence fill you with comfort and security. May understanding how much He loves you fill you with great joy and anticipation as you await His coming again.

But the angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for look, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people: Today in the city of David a Savior was born for you, who is the Messiah, the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11).
Merry Christmas!
By His Grace,
Julie
Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).
May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
