The Best Reason To Choose

Gold Brush Stroke

live_engaged-

I’m in tears watching this video I shot three years ago of my oldest son, Danny, singing Steven Curtis Chapman’s song “I Will Be Here.” As you listen you can hear Rachel, who was 12 at the time, making comments about her brother (“D” and “Hi, DD” and “Bye, DD”). A precious recording to match precious memories.

Life is precious for all of us. We need to make the most of the time we have.

We need to choose to

Live engaged.

Live intentional.

Live grateful.

Live love(d). [←Tweet this.]

You are precious, too.

Believe it and choose to live in grace as a beloved child of God.

The Lord will be there.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Reflection: How are you choosing to live engaged, intentional, grateful, and love(d)?

This is a beautiful post and reminder that we have a choice of whether or not to engage with the world around us, in our own lives, with our children, etc. Unfortunately I couldn’t get the video to play but I’m sure it was a great rendition made more precious by your daughter’s commenting. 🙂 Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend.

I’m sorry, Abby. I think I was tweaking the post while you were trying to watch the video. If you do try again and it doesn’t work, please let me know. Blessings.

Julie Sunne

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
