Glory to God in the Highest!

star of bethlehemHallelujah, Christmas Day is upon us!

Christmas is about grace delivered and hope fulfilled. It is about the gift of life. It is about Love! Click To Tweet

Every year we anticipate the family gatherings, the wonderful holiday songs, the gifts, and the food. These are all great things; however, Christmas is about so much more.

It is about a world turned upside down by the birth of a baby boy.

It is about that moment when the fulfillment of God’s promise was delivered through a helpless infant in a lowly manger.

It is about the miraculous events of 2,000 years ago that propelled us into a saving relationship with the Creator of the universe.

It is about the light that came down to pierce the darkness.

It is about the moment when time stood still.

It is about the mystery and meaning of the birth of the Messiah.

It is about Immanuel (God with us).

It is about grace delivered and hope fulfilled.

It is about the gift of life.

It is about Love!

No matter what your circumstances this Christmas—whether you are enjoying intimate gatherings with family and friends or are alone and broken—take a moment to redirect your gaze from yourself to the Child in that lonely stable.

Breathe in the Holy Spirit, grab hold of the hope, and experience the joy of receiving the God of love.

Wishing you all a Christ-centered day!

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

By His Grace,

Julie

This year, I did Jesus and me. No frills, no consumerism, no distractions. For once, on the designated day of remembering our Savior’s birth, He had my undivided attention. Thanks for the beauty of this post. God is surely with us.

Julie Sunne

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
