It Is Real Grace

It is the life I live,

so similar to others but vastly different,

so complicated yet eerily simple.

Real Life Meets Real Grace

Storm clouds gather, then are chased away by the wind.

The fog thickens until dissipated by the sun.

It is messy, ugly, and painful.

It is lovely, precious, and fun.

I fail, only to be blessed with forgiveness, restoring joy and hope.

I love, giving my heart to many, only to have it shattered by some, repaired by others.

It is a maze, a spider web all woven together. At times it is threaded together tightly, yet the next moment it unravels in a heap.

I weep and mourn—crying out in anguish, begging for a way out of the misery.

I laugh and sing—dancing in the glory of the Son.

Weeping and mourning, yet laughing and singing—dancing in the glory of the Son. #reallife meets #realgrace! Share on X

I hold onto memories and let go of dreams.

This is my life. It is real grace.

STOP

“Because of the Lord’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness! I say: The Lord is my portion, therefore I will put my hope in Him” (Lamentations 3:22–24).

Reflections: What does your real life look like? I bet it’s similar yet quite different from mine. Have you seen the grace?

“What does your real life look like? I bet it’s similar yet quite different from mine. Have you seen the grace?”

I like this statement that questions – life for all of us if we are transparent we all wear different labels but underneath in that place we lock tightly where we pretend to be who we want others to think we are – we all have fear, anger, disappointments and struggle with trust and seeing God in it .

You are helping me find the JOY in even those places – you challenge me to replace my first thought with 1.) “God intends this to be for His glory and my good”… and then 2.) To become content in it – tis in the bringing me to HIM that I see grace and mercy awaits.

And this makes my prayer become ~Lord; Help me to look for the secret places ~ recognizing hearts that are hurting ~ re-mending where trust has failed ~ give me a tenderness that will show your mercy as I become more confident of WHO you are to ME~ TRUST ~ Thank you Julie

The hardest aspect of doing “life” for me is usually being content in where I find myself even though I know God’s hand is in it. Thank you, Linda, for inspiring me to boldly follow the Lord’s leading!

Julie Sunne

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
