You Only Have One Life to Live (How To Make It Count)

“Only one life, ’twill soon be past, Only what’s done for Christ will last.”
~C.T. Studd

It is easy to get caught up in our day. To assign importance and meaning by how we feel or what demands the most attention or what is cool and inBut

♦     feelings are fickle, changing with a shift in the wind.

♦     what clangs the loudest isn’t necessarily the most important thing to address.

♦     this world is not an accurate barometer for degree of importance.

♦     all of this world will pass away, and in the end, the only thing that will matter is what we did for the glory of God.

Only One Life to Live

We have the gift of life on earth. A life with purpose and meaning. But that life is fleeting.

So savor your days. Be grateful for this time you have. Place your hope in the Lord. And fill your days with what is right and true

Everything else is just a clanging cymbal (1 Corinthians 13:1).

“For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.  And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.” (1 John 2:16-17)

Reflection: Some days does it feel as if you are just a clanging cymbal, making noise for no good purpose? What’s one thing you can do today to begin reclaiming your days for an everlasting purpose?

Hello, I'm Julie, an imperfect wife and mother of four. Life in this broken world is not always easy. Yet, joy can be found in each day through the grace and mercy of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I find it's easy for our day's blessings to get lost in its happenings. But God's "mercies never end" (Lamentations 3:22) and His "grace is sufficient" (2 Corinthians 12:9).

May the posts and pages on this site offer you a measure of peace and encouragement.
